Gypsy
Named for her gazelle-like sleek physique and nomadic background, Gypsy was
found in a drainage pipe sixty feet beneath the island of Puerto Rico in 2002.
Surrounded by her deceased siblings and mother, her cries were answered by
gold-hearted rescuers from the Save a Sato Foundation, who brought her to the U.S.
through the Danbury Animal Welfare Society. Part hound and part Whippet, Gypsy
is by far the fastest in the fleet and has no fear of running circles around the
pack. Though skeptical of new visitors, Gypsy lives to love and loves to play.
She specializes in all things soft: blankets, pillows, toys, and snuggly
clothes.
Jackson
Jackson was rescued in 2006 by the Save a Sato Foundation and brought to
Connecticut through the Danbury Animal Welfare Society. Jacky Boy is a bundle of
energy and zest for life, who will run and play until he is too weak to stand.
Jackson is enthusiastic about all welcomed visitors, but protective of his
family and warm, safe home. Part German Short Haired Pointer and part one-night
stand, Jackson is a constant companion incessant in his public displays of
affection and insatiably curious about all things new and lively. Jacky
specializes in items to chew, chase after and tear into shreds.
Killian
Killian was rescued in 1993 by the North Shore Animal League. Adopted during our
college days, Killian attended Syracuse University, and enjoyed life in a
blustery college town. Now, at sixteen years young, she is the matriarch of our
doggy family. Possibly Elkhound, Basenji, and Chow, Killian has traveled many a
mile. Once conditioned to a daily four-mile trek, as of late she is content with
leisurely strolls about the neighborhood and tending the garden, lounging in the
grass and breathing in a sunny day. Killian specializes in all things edible.
Olive
Olive was born in 2000 on a dark and stormy night in the mountains of Edwards, fifteen
miles west of Vail, Colorado. She is an Aquarian of the finest German Shorthair
Pointer and black Labrador pedigree; small wonder that it is impossible to keep
her out of the water, whether lake, pond, river, creek, or snowdrift. Filled
with Farfugnugen and always up for an adventure, Olive has driven cross country
and back three times. When not swimming, Livvy enjoys snowshoeing, Nordic
skiing, hiking, running, camping, eating sushi, and watching Law & Order with
her boyfriend, Charlie. Olive specializes in all things outdoorsy and water
sporty.
